La Camina:  Healing the Split~Walking into Wholeness

For those of you who have a sacred dream to walk the pilgrim’s path and who are called to experience either the El Camino de Santiago in Spain and/or the Celtic Camino from Spain up through France to Scotland, I will be creating a DreamWeavings Pilgrimage in the spring of 2011.

I traveled the Celtic Camino, or “La Camina” last summer by train with my teenage daughter.  At the time, I thought that this was in preparation for future train pilgrimages that I would be leading.    Earlier this spring, while I was cooking dinner in my kitchen,  I received a very clear message that while the train journey was indeed a preparatory journey, that the true “La Camina” pilgrimage  is to be walked.  Just like the pilgrims used to do before there were trains, planes and automobiles.  I will be walking this extensive pilgrimage, and I invite you to join me.

Given the distance between Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and Rosslyn, Scotland, this walking pilgrimage is most likely going to take several different journeys over several years to complete.

Next spring, I will be leading a  group of women to walk the first leg of  “La Camina.”

While most pilgrims walk the El Camino de Santiago through Spain to Santiago de Compostela, we will be walking from Santiago to Toulouse,  France. It will take us about 6 weeks to walk this first leg of La Camina, and we will be going against the tide.  I received comfort and confirmation from Dr. Steven Farmer’s words on my birthday that was also right around the time of knowing that I was to walk from Santiago.  He says:

“Today is April Fool’s Day. In order to follow a spiritual path, we must be “foolish” to have the courage to disagree with consensus, fear-based reality. So enjoying being a “fool” today…”

This is the journey of the Divine Feminine.  It is the pilgrimage to heal the split between the masculine and the feminine.  With every step we take, we will be healing the split.  We will be weaving the divine Feminine back into the Earth, into the cells of our bodies, and into the fabric of our lives .
